OVERVIEW OF BABY BRANCH SERVICES
BWA’s Baby Branch collaboratively works with pregnant, infant, and toddler parents to foster developmentally appropriate growth while assisting guardians in confidently reaching their caregiving goals. This non-judgmental, individualized support uses Montessori-based practices and holistic approaches to allow families to hone in on specific goals, concerns, and triumphs. In doing so, both the child(ren) and the caregiver(s) gain a renowned sense of growth, independence, and confidence. BWA’s Baby Branch includes Pregnancy & Newborn Specialist, Infant & Toddler Care Specialist, and Developmental Consulting services.
PREGNANCY & NEWBORN SPECIALIST
BWA’s Pregnancy & Newborn Specialist services focus on guiding families through pregnancy and the early newborn stages. It does this by integrating Montessori principles to support early bonding, communication, routines, and development. BWA aids pregnant and newborn guardians by:
Assisting with navigating pre and postpartum questions, information, and resources
Creating birth plans, understanding hospital protocols, and preparing for the postpartum stage
Providing support in establishing routines for sleeping and feeding
Guiding parents on early bonding, soothing techniques, and fostering secure attachments
Offering personalized assessments of newborn development
Presenting strategies for supporting early milestones
Helping guardians understand and facilitate baby cues and communications
Incorporating Montessori-inspired environments for baby’s early growth
INFANT & TODDLER SPECIALIST
BWA’s Infant & Toddler Consulting services partners with caregivers to provide personalized strategies for parents to navigate the complex developmental stages of infancy and toddlerhood. Counsel includes but is not limited to:
Aiding parents in understanding and supporting infant & toddler developmental milestones
Facilitating developmental progress in areas like crawling, walking, talking, and motor skills
Offering guidance in navigating routines, including feeding, teething, and sleeping
Monitoring children’s development and providing tailored intervention
Assisting parents in navigating behavioral challenges, such as tantrums, separation anxiety, and boundary-setting
Scaffolding parents in developing age-appropriate, Montessori inspired, environments and activities that promote safe exploration, growth, and independence
Guiding parents in understanding and responding to their baby’s communications and cues
Developing personalized strategies and plans for sleep routines, feeding transitions, and self-regulating skills
DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Whether preparing to welcome a baby or nurture a young child, BWA uses personalized guidance to empower caregivers to navigate the challenges of parenting. These services include but are not limited to:
Establishing, monitoring, and adjusting parental goals that promote confidence and positivity
Educating parents on the fundamental principles of Montessori practices, including practical life skills, hands-on learning, and fostering independence
Implementing effective, collaborative communication strategies between both the guardian(s) and the child(ren)
Setting and incorporating realistic, age-appropriate expectations and routines
Addressing behavioral and disciplinary concerns
Navigating neurodiverse and medical concerns and diagnoses
Providing resources to navigate parental anxiety, postpartum depression, and other emotional hurdles
Managing transitions such as co-parenting, welcoming new siblings, blending families, and coping with loss
